National Change of Address Processing

The Postal Service enters into a database all of the address forms filled out by people and businesses when they move. This data in addition to being used by the Postal Service is also used by licensed NCOA (National Change of Address) vendors. The data is held in most cases for up to four years. When changes are held for this period of time, it will allow companies and organizations to update their mailing lists even if the lists are up to four years old. The process is accomplished by matching addresses of your data files with addresses on the (NCOA) move file. Even if someone has moved multiple times from the address on your list, the address will be updated to the most recent address.

BlueGrass Mailing, Data and Fulfillment Services in addition to matching your mailing list against the National Change of Address file have several other processes to help you keep your lists current.
