Transactional Promotion

What is “Transpromo?”

Transpromo is the new abbreviated term for “Transactional Promotion,” and it refers to advertising printed directly in the available white spaces within actual transactional invoices or statements.

How Can Transpromo Be Used?

Utilize the unused blank white space within your organization’s transactional statements/invoices—

  1. Print promotional messages to cross-sell your products, services or events to your customers.

  2. Sell those blank areas to other organizations to promote their products or programs.

  3. Donate that blank space to other organizations to promote community or non-profit causes and/or events.

  4. Or any combination of these.

How Does Transpromo Work?

As each individual statement or invoice is processed and spooled for printing (in color and/or grayscale), our Transpromo software searches for, identifies and then calculates the dimensions of blank space in each document, determining if and where promotional content can be placed, and what promotion(s) to place, if any. Then, as each unique document is printed, the selected Transpromo advertisements or notices are sized and inserted in the available and appropriate space(s).

Why Does Transpromo Work?

  1. Invoices and statements receive more intense and prolonged scrutiny than any other form of business-generated communication. Because these documents are anticipated, more than 95% of all statements and invoices are opened and read closely each month—often immediately upon receipt—and they are often viewed multiple times during the life of the document.

  2. Statements and invoices from trusted companies and organizations are, themselves, perceived to be trustworthy.

  3. Statements and invoices are predominantly sent to current customers. Research demonstrates that current customers are more inclined than non-customers to do business with you again.

  4. Your unique, customer-specific database can be used to target and personalize custom promotions to each customer within their statement or invoice.

  5. Documents within the same print run do NOT have to contain a uniform number of pages. Some may be single-page documents, while others may contain multiple-pages.

  6. The actual per-page printing cost is the same with or without Transpromo, because such content is inserted in blank areas only on pages that already include printed statement or invoice content.
